A lot has happened at Kent Cartridge from our beginning in 1996 with a small group of sportsmen discussing the future of shotgunning to the innovative, international cartridge company we are today. Our goal was simple, develop a non-toxic shotshell that would equal and possibly exceed the performance of high quality lead waterfowl loads. We not only accomplished this, we exceeded even our expectations.
In 1997, Kent purchased the Activ Cartridge factory in Kearneysville, West Virginia. This gave Kent a home base in the heart of wild and wonderful West Virginia. During the spring and fall, you can find Kent employees wandering the forests and fields around the plant hunting with Kent products. |

In 1998 Kent expanded to Europe with the acquisition of the Gamebore Cartridge Company in Hull, England. The Kent-Gamebore Corporation was formed and carries on business throughout North America and around the world.
We set the benchmark, with the introduction of our patented Tungsten Matrix® non-toxic shot. Our Diamond Shot® lead loads are strong performers in the field and on the course. The speed race in steel has been won by our Kent Fasteel® lineup. A variety of specialty products for turkey hunting and field trials offer enthusiasts many performance options.
Kent's Tungsten Matrix® line has grown from 12 and 20 gauge waterfowl products to include Tungsten Matrix® high performance turkey loads and a complete line of Tungsten Matrix® Pheasant/Game loads. Kent's sister division, Gamebore, has developed a 2 1/2" biodegradable model with a fibre shot cup and a varnished paper hull. The awesome 3 1/2", 12 gauge goose load and two variations of Tungsten Matrix® "Sweet 16" 16 ga. Pheasant/Game loads round out our Tungsten Matrix® non-toxic lineup. |

Speed is the single greatest advantage when shooting steel. Kent has responded with a lineup filled with options in the "Super Fast" range that waterfowlers demand in a premium steel shotshell. Since Kent's original Fasteel® shotshells were introduced the lineup has grown to include the 3 1/2" cartridge and a total of 33 choices in the 1425-1625 fps range.
For the value conscious shooter Kent offers a special line of All Purpose Precision Steel™ models.
