Kent Tungsten Matrix® is the one true alternative to lead.
Tungsten Matrix® is a patented blend of pure tungsten powder in a polymer matrix that was specifically developed to match the physical and ballistic properties of premium quality lead shot. No other tungsten product on the market today can offer these desirable lead-like characteristics. Other manufactures attempt to improve upon the performance of steel shot. These products are harder than the steel in a typical shotgun barrel, require protective shot cups, and unlike Tungsten Matrix® they do not have the clean killing ballistic properties of lead shot.
Tungsten Matrix® shot responds to traditional choke constrictions providing optimum pattern performance at a variety of practical ranges from decoying ducks to pass shooting geese.

Tungsten Matrix® pellets with their uniform size and consistent density combined with superior muzzle velocities deliver maximum energy to the target.
Various methods of production can produce tungsten shot with densities far greater than the 11 gm/cm lead benchmark. Kent chose to produce Tungsten Matrix® with a consistent density of 10.8 gm/cm that retains the desirable properties and proven performance of high antimony plated lead shot.
