Last spring, I decided to test Kent’s Ultimate Turkey Diamond Shot in 12 gauge 3½ inch 2¼ ounces 4’s after a salesman at the local bait and tackle store recommended them. Patterning at 40 yards with my Mossberg 835 placed 19 hits in the head and neck region of my turkey target. Impressed with this, I fired an additional pattern at 50 yards and put 5 hits in the vital zone. Opening morning I found my best friend calling a trophy gobbler up. When the old bird stuck his head out at 42 paces, I fired and he collapsed with hardly a shudder. A month later, I repeated the feat as a big ole boss gobbler charged my jake decoy at 15 paces. That gobbler was my biggest to date, weighing 21 pounds and sporting an 11 inch beard and 1¼ inch spurs. You can’t argue with performance like that. I’m firmly sold on Kent cartridges.
